Online Payment Processing

One of the larger modules, in terms of impact to your church, is Online Giving. This module allows people to tithe or give to your church through your website. In addition, each person can set up a giving schedule, which automatically debits his or her credit card or checking account on the specified dates configured for the schedule.

The second module affected by payment processing is Event Registration. If you configure events that require a registration fee or upsell additional materials, the payment can be made through the same payment gateway used for Online Giving.

ACTIVE Network Faith Payment Gateway

The ACTIVE Network Faith payment gateway is required for payment processing. ACTIVE Network Faith is responsible for and administers the programming that accesses the payment gateway.

Fees are associated with payment gateway processing. Consult your contract with ACTIVE Network Faith to determine these fees. There is a per transaction charge as well as a monthly minimum charge.

In addition to the Payment Gateway, you must have an Internet Merchant Account to process credit cards. ACTIVE Network Faith can help you set up an account with a reputable merchant. Simply send an email to FaithAccountManagement@ACTIVENetwork.com asking for help with an Internet Merchant Account provider.

If you plan on accepting eChecks, you will need an account with ProfitStars, a division of Jack Henry & Associates. The payment processing specialists at ACTIVE Network Faith will help you create your account. During the payment gateway setup process, you will be provided with an application to set up this account.
