Getting Started with Fellowship One
If you are new to Fellowship One, there are several things you can do to familiarize yourself with the product. Much of what you can see and can do in Fellowship One depends upon your role at the church and the security authorizations that have been granted to you. This topic discusses the elements visible on the Home page of Fellowship One and how you can begin learning about the different aspects of the product.
What are all These Boxes on the Home page?
The Home page of Fellowship One offers at-a-glance features that you can use to quickly see what is happening in your church.
- My Tasks—train yourself to look at the My Tasks block first when you sign into Fellowship One. Any contact or volunteer requests assigned to you appear here. Click on the item to move to an area where you can manage it (for example, work the contact or work the volunteer request).
- News & Announcements—fully customized rich editor that is used by your church to display special announcements that pertain to your church.
- Today—displays the activities scheduled for today at your church. You can see all activities that have been scheduled in the Ministry area of Fellowship One.
- F1 Announcements—used to advise you of important product information such as upcoming releases, product outages and maintenance, and any other important news from ACTIVE Network Faith.
- Staff Birthdays—lists all staff who have a birthday within the next 14 days.
- New Staff—displays any Fellowship One user created in the past 30 days. Click Portal users to see all Fellowship One users at your church complete with phone numbers and email addresses.
How do I Learn About Fellowship One?
There are several ways to learn about Fellowship One. One way is to continue reading this help documentation. The following subjects are covered within this help system. You may also visit the Learning Management System (LMS). To access the LMS, simply select the Learning Center link in Fellowship One.
- People Management—learn how to add and maintain people records, add notes, contact items, add requirements to records, how to find people, how to create groups, and how to report on all of your people data.
- Activity Management—learn all about how to configure activities, take attendance, assign volunteers, record staffing needs, record activity requirements, and create event registration forms.
- Contact Management—learn how to configure your paper communication forms in Fellowship One, how to assign request/interest items to a specific ministry and user, how to work contacts, and how to monitor contact efficiency.
- Volunteer Management—learn how to create jobs, job schedules, how to assign volunteers to a job, how to report on who is doing what and when people are scheduled to work.
- Contributions Management—learn how to record giving, send contribution statements, and report on giving by service or date range.
Personalized Education
ACTIVE Network Faith offers fee-based personalized training to accommodate your education needs. The following types of training are available by sending an email to FaithEducation@activenetwork.com:
- Remote Training—Attend personalized training specifically tailored for your church. An education specialist will work with you to develop topics and functionality to cover during the training session. All meetings and training sessions are conducted via desktop sharing technology (WebEx) allowing you to work from your location with no need to travel. Any number of staff members may attend.
- Onsite Training—An education specialist will work with you to develop training plans and sessions to cover with your staff onsite at your location. The instructor will work directly with team members to learn Fellowship One functionality and apply it to daily activities.
- ACTIVE Network Faith Classroom Training—For a concentrated learning experience, consider bringing your staff to ACTIVE Network Faith in Irving, Texas. We have a dedicated classroom space available for up to 20 people. Bring your own laptops or we can rent them for you while you are here. An education specialist will work with you to develop a training plan. An added benefit of coming to our location is access to other personnel such as reporting, support and product development specialists.
