Sent Email

When emails have been sent, they are recorded in the following places:

Sent Items

The Sent Items list displays the previously sent email messages. You can see the status of the email message, the contents, and the number of recipients. You can also see a copy of the sent email. In the Sent Items list, simply click the message name to see information about the message.

Notice that the number listed in the Recipients column is actually a hyperlink. If you click this number the individual recipients display with a status for each recipient.

Use the search options at the top of the list to filter the list to a specific status. Simply click the check boxes to clear (or turn off) a particular status and then click Show recipients.

Email Statuses

Status Description
Pending Appears immediately after an email has been sent. The emails are queued on the server and will be sent in the order submitted to the server.
In Progress The email is being sent. Some of the recipients may have Sent status while others are still pending. Click the number in the Recipients column to monitor individual recipients.
Sent The email has been sent.
Failed The entire email failed to send (very abnormal behavior that only occurs when the email server has encountered a serious problem) or an individual email failed to send (typically caused by a full email in box or a mistake in the email address that caused the address to be invalid).
Address Not Found/Unsubscribed

The recipient's email address has been marked as unsubscribed. This can happen by clicking on the Unsubscribe link on the individual record page or if the individual clicked the unsubscribe link in a previous email they received.

Note: Email addresses that fail to send more than five times will be automatically unsubscribed by Fellowship One. This practice is a necessary step in the process to eliminate SPAM emails.

Contacts

When selecting recipients for an email you have the option to save the message as a closed contact item. Select the Create a closed contact item for each recipient check box when sending your email. If selected, the message will be saved as a contact item in each recipient's individual record. The status of the contact item will be Closed.
