Relationship Manager

What are relationships? Relationships are connections or associations between individuals who are otherwise unrelated.

Before jumping into the configuration let’s take a minute to examine relationships

Why on earth would we want to track them? Well, that of course is up to you and your church, but there may be several reasons. Mainly, some relationships such as counseling or mentoring require individuals within the relationship to record meeting notes for the church to track. Your church may want to see what is happening within a relationship ‐ are the individuals making progress, for example.

Finally, do we really want any person involved in a relationship to have access to Fellowship One? Probably not, which is why the Relationship Management tool is extended to Fellowship One WebLink. The Relationship Manager module can be accessed from the church website where individuals within the relationship can create and view notes. These notes appear in Fellowship One where the church can read and report on them.

The four steps required are as follows:

  1. Admin ‐ Create relationship types with roles and attributes.
  2. Admin ‐ Grant access to relationship types for Fellowship One users.
  3. People ‐ create relationships between individuals and grant WebLink Relationship Manager module access to those that may need it.
  4. WebLink Management (Admin and website Manager) ‐ publish the Relationship Manager module on the church website and manage WebLink user accounts.
